Speak up!
Be honest. How many times have you been angry about an aggressive and irritating marketing phone call but kept quiet? How many times have you been served food that was cold or tasteless but failed to complain? How many times have you heard the phony message “we are experiencing a higher volume than usual” yet waited and waited endlessly in the phone cattle line? In all these cases your blood may have been boiling but you just accepted your fate.
Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes.
– Maggie Kuhn
He who does not have the courage to speak up for
his rights cannot earn the respect of others.

Bruno’s commentary
I don’t mean that you should always speak up, but if something bothers you, you owe it to yourself to do so. Speaking up requires strength and courage of conviction and we often decide to just move on. Most of the time that is OK. But if you feel deeply offended or not taken seriously, speak up. It is in your interest to do so and will boost your self-esteem. And isn’t that a valid reason in itself for speaking up?
Are you upset and angry at the way you have been treated? Here is your chance to work on your self-esteem.
