My Birthday
This is an important time for me. I will be turning 79 this Tuesday and what you are reading here is the 350th issue of Bruno’s One Minute eMail. What started almost seven years ago with a few notes sent to six of my friends has grown to 23,672 subscribers in 23 countries. The loyalty of my readers is my most cherrished birthday gift!
People oftrn aske me why I write the One Minute eMail and why it is free. That is easy for me to answer. I am grateful for what life has given me and I feel an obligation to pay back. One way to do so is to share my long life experience, my thoughts, and the lessons learned with you. But why is that important?
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.
If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
- The Dalai Lama
Everything on this planet grows from a seed and watching it grow that is what life is all about. Be it a newborn baby, an animal, a flower, or a tree, it can only grow if it is nurtured. And even when it grows out of its pampered state, its need for nurture does not end.
It should be our goal to help others, and that means caring for them, believing in them, giving them a second chance, learning to let go, rejecting violence, and having love in our heart. Helping others will allow us to change our world a tiny little bit.
It would mean a lot to me if you would invite your friends to join Bruno’s One Minute eMail. You can do so here.
