A terrible decision!
I can’t get over something I heard today. A friend of mine told me that his neighbor, a father of three, died at age 48 after a long illness. His whole family boycotted the funeral and nobody attended. Only neighbors and business friends were there.

I don’t know this family but I couldn’t help thinking what a terrible experience it must have been for the father to be dying with such anger and rage where there should have been love, support, and compassion. I can barely imagine the terrible pain, frustration, and disappointment that influenced this man’s family to make such a heinous decision.

Anger is one letter away from danger.

They didn’t take the opportunity to heal old wounds, not even during his long illness and they are now walking on dangerous ground because unsettled anger can destroy. The fact that they didn’t take the opportunity to heal their wounds before it was too late will haunt them. It’s ok to be angry, as I said in a previous “Minute”, but only for a short time (you can read that Minute here). Letting go of anger is not only a matter of kindness it is also a matter of self-protection.

Do you have an anger issue right now? Deal with it before it’s too late. Don’t let it hurt you.
