What is success?
The first answer that comes to mind is money, financial independence, power, and recognition. These are the desires that drive us and often dominate our life. And the desire for success can take many forms. If you are an athlete, your goal is to perform better than your competition. If you are a musician, your ambition is to record a number-one hit. And if your passion is business, your goal may be to reach the very top of your industry. These are worthy pursuits, but there is another, deeper kind of success.
Success is not the key to happiness.
Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
- Herman Cain
Don’t confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other.

Bruno's comment
The other kind of success is personal success. The way we conduct our business, how we interact with others, how we deal with negativity, and how we think of ourselves - all these have an effect on any other achievement we strive for. Think of the Golden Rule, the basic human principle that says: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I've known enough high achievers during my lifetime to believe that living by this principle is the down-to-earth secret of real success.
