Unasked Questions
A few days ago I was walking on a busy city street with a friend when we happened upon a young man lying in misery on the street, apparently drunk or drugged - or maybe sick. Hundreds of people passed by, looking the other way, but Dan, my walking companion, insisted that we stop and check on him. When we got no response, he called the police. The ambulance came in a matter of minutes, picked him up, and took him to a hospital. Case closed. Really?

In helping others, we shall help ourselves,
for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.

We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.

Bruno's commentary
It's easy for us to help when someone asks for it, but what if someone is suffering alone and doesn't dare to ask? I'm pretty sure there is someone in your circle of friends and family who needs help but isn't asking for it. What did I hear you say just now? "None of my business"? Well, with all due respect, that is just an easy way out. Try replacing this sentence with, "How can I help you?" If you have the opportunity to help someone, be it through a phone call, advice on how to get out of a problem, or even financial help, go for it. It will be good karma for you.

Reach out to someone in need. It will make you feel good.
