The Golden Rule
The Golden Rule got its name from the ancient Greeks, but it was really taught centuries before and is embedded in every religion. We are taught, at a young age, that we should treat other people the way we would like to be treated and that we could solve and prevent conflicts by using this basic human principle. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" sounds like a pretty simple rule, but is it really? Why then do so many of us so often forget it?
Practicing the Golden Rule is not a sacrifice; it is an investment.

The golden rule for every business man is this:
"Put yourself in your customer's place."

Bruno's commentary
Whether it is in our personal lives (our interactions with family, friends, and even people we don't know) or in our professional lives (dealing with clients, customers, and colleagues) we should always have the Golden Rule at the forefront of our minds. As a result, people will be more likely to trust us and see us as compassionate, friendly, empathetic, and kind - character traits that the world needs more of. The Golden Rule embodies the very essence of empathy: putting ourselves in the other person's shoes. It's a simple, almost elementary rule of life that can go a long way.
Are you about to make a decision? Think of the Golden Rule!
