Look up, not down!
Turn on your TV or open a newspaper and you’ll be hit with negativity: natural disasters, murders, a plane crash, the economy in turmoil, thousands of people losing their jobs – the examples are endless.
Where has all the positive news gone?
The media are a great gauge of what their readers want and negativity sells well for them. But does it have to be at our expense? We have to be careful not to fall into the trap of fear, because if we do we will pay a high price.
You can conquer almost any fear if you will make up your mind to do so.
Because fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.
- Dale Carnegie
Fear often dominates our thinking, and this leads us to making the wrong decisions. We may be in a difficult situation right now, but it is exactly in these situations that we should remember that most of our past decisions were positive ones or we wouldn’t be where we are today.
However dire our present situation, it is temporary. We have the power to change it, but only if we refuse to be pulled down by negative thoughts.
Are you scared about the future? Do you see dark clouds in your life? Just remember: The sun is always there, even if the clouds cover it.
