“Your fly is down”
I was on a long subway ride when a complete stranger approached me and told me with a smile, “You might not have realized it, but your fly is down.” I was embarrassed, of course, thanked him for telling me and this gave me the idea for today’s Minute.

How many times have you seen someone with a spot on his shirt or a shoe untied or been with someone whose breath is bad, yet you didn’t say anything?

You should have, because it is ultimately in your interest to help others.

We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.
- Winston Churchill

It’s easy for us to help when someone asks for it, but what if someone is having a problem and doesn’t ask?

I’m pretty sure there is someone in your circle of friends and family who needs help but isn’t asking for it. What did I hear you say just now? “That’s none of my business”? Well, with all due respect, that is just taking the easy way out. Try replacing this sentence with, “How can I help?”

If you have the opportunity to help someone, be it through a phone call, advice on how to get out of a problem, or even financial assistance, go for it. Why? First, because it will make them feel good. Second, because it will make you feel good. And third, because it will be good karma for you.
